Tuesday Two.Oh! A Tool for Creating

Tuesday Two.Oh! is not meant as an endorsement, but as an exploration of the tools that are out there. Click at your own risk. :)

Today on Tuesday Two.Oh! we’ll be taking a look at a tool called Cloud Canvas.  Now, a note: I am not (repeat, NOT) skilled at the arts of Photoshop (an opportunity for a COIL on Wheels maybe??).  This tool is geared towards those more savvy in this regard: but I didn’t think this was a reason not to explore the tool.  The thing you need to keep in mind is that you may have more luck than I did. So, let’s take a look at Cloud Canvas.

Today on Tuesday Two.Oh! we’re going to be talking about BookLamp.   This tool is geared towards book loves- and is framed as a sort of “Pandora for Book Lovers.”  I thought this sounded interesting enough for an exploration- even though it might not have any practical use for libraries.  That said, we deal at least partly in books, and it might be nice to give our patrons options if we don’t own exactly what they’re looking for when it comes to fiction.  I’m excited to take a look at BookLamp!

Today on Tuesday Two.Oh! we’re going to be taking a look at a site that aims to facilitate conversation between groups of people.  This tool is geared towards any kind of user- educators, business people, artists….anyone.  I think that this site, if one could promote conversation, would be really valuable to the library world.  It’s an exciting tool that I’m happy to share with you today.  Let’s take a look at Convore!

Today on Tuesday Two.Oh! we’re going to be taking a look at a tool that lets you design, edit and rearrange science and math notes. This tool is geared towards students, teachers and organization. This might be a stretch for those of us in library instruction- but it’s an interesting tool that has a lot of potential. Let’s take a look at Knotebooks!
